Le Moulin du Roc is in an idyllic position on a pretty river. We were entertained by dancing damsel flies, the ones Rossetti describes as ‘like a blue thread loosened from the sky’, and a passing kingfisher zooming up and down. The service is professional and friendly, our waitress who did an impeccable job also advised me on how to germinate acer seeds!As for the food, it is classic French haute cuisine with imaginative details, strawberries with pea mousse, and savoury sorbets, for example. Everything delicious and attractively presented.Can’t wait till the next time.
